This page is to help you with commonly asked questions regarding weddings and events.
Q: What are the benefits of having a wedding planner?
A: There are so many benefits to having a wedding planner. Planners are there to make your wedding as stress-free for you as possible. They will be the one orchestrating the event, so all you have to do is show up and smile! Wedding planners will help with the process from start to finish. They will work with florists, catering, venue coordinators, etc. They will take care of all the details, no matter how big or small. Plus, since they are in the business, they can give you an honest opinion of good companies to hire for your big day.
Q: I'm planning a wedding on a budget. Is there any way we can cut costs without cutting quality?
A: Definitely! One way to save a lot of money is to book a venue on a week day. The cost of a week day can be less than half of what you would pay on a weekend. Also, getting married on the off-season (October-March) will save you venue money.
Having friends and family prepare any food for the reception is a great way to save money. Even better- if you hold your reception in the early afternoon, you could save food costs by serving appetizers, finger foods, or having a dessert bar instead of a full on dinner.
If you want to save money in the photography department, you can ask the photography company if they have any assistants or interns who would be willing to take pictures of your big day. Those photographers are usually cheaper. You could also ask a family member or friend who is a photographer to take the pictures.
Q: When should I send out my wedding invitations?
A: About eight weeks is when you will want to send those out. Sending them eight weeks before the big day will give guests plenty of time to save the date, send their RSVPs and give you plenty of time to figure out a head count.
